Helping Moms Thrive in Every Aspect of Life

Welcome! I’m Kim —

therapist.

coach.

podcast host.

and mom.

Motherhood can feel overwhelming, lonely, and exhausting. But I believe every mom deserves a safe space to exhale, reset, and rediscover her strength — and that’s exactly what I bring to the mic.

When I'm not helping moms thrive, you'll find me experimenting with new recipes (now that I'm an empty nester!), cheering way too loudly for Auburn football, or hosting dinner parties that feel like warm hugs. I'm the friend who remembers your kid's big game and checks in when life gets hard.

I started as an elementary school teacher, became a counselor because I saw the need in families, and now run Elevate Moms - a practice focused entirely on helping mothers break free from self-defeating patterns and rediscover their potential.

Topics I Love Diving Into With Audiences

Finding Yourself in the Middle of Raising Everyone Else

  • You were someone before you were mom, and she still matters

  • Losing yourself in motherhood is not noble, it is dangerous

  • Wanting things for yourself does not make you selfish

  • When your worth lives in your kids, their hard days become your identity crisis

  • Kids who know who they are come from moms who know who they are

  • You had a calling before motherhood, and it is still yours

Burned Out Moms Raise Burned Out Kids

  • Why modern moms are running on empty (and it's affecting the whole family)

  • The three strategies that help you step off the burnout treadmill

  • Establishing essential limits without the guilt

  • Breaking generational patterns and healing your own stuff

  • Why modeling self-care is the most powerful thing you can do

  • Creating calm in the chaos of daily family life

How to Parent the Child You Have, Not the One You Expected

  • Generic parenting advice wasn't written for your child

  • Your child was uniquely and purposefully designed by God to have their own wiring

  • Myers-Briggs personality assessment gives you a practical lens for their behavior

  • Your personality type shapes how you respond to theirs

  • Discipline and connection look different for every child

  • The goal is an understood child, not a perfect one

The Mom Mental Load- Why Carrying it All is Costing You Everything

  • You are exhausted because you are carrying too much, not because you are too little

  • The mental load never turns off, and it is almost always yours

  • "Good moms do it all" is a story you inherited, not truth

  • Saying no and letting people be disappointed is healthy, not selfish

  • Real help means sharing the load, not just asking for it

  • Good enough is not failure, it is freedom

How to Help Your Kids Through Hard Things Without Making it Worse

  • What your child needs in hard moments is not a fixer, it is a steady presence

  • Most of what we do in hard moments is about our discomfort, not theirs

  • A dysregulated mom cannot regulate a dysregulated child

  • Your nervous system is setting the temperature in the room

  • It is not the rupture that damages the relationship, it is the failure to repair

  • You do not have to be a perfect parent, just a present one

The Hardest Parenting Truth That Nobody Wants to Hear

  • Thriving kids are raised in guided struggle, not comfort

  • Step back so they can learn to step up

  • Resilient kids are built in the moments that you did not rescue

  • Teach them to overcome, not to be rescued

  • Thriving kids have a secure base to return to

  • You are raising a future adult, not just a child

Why It’s So Hard to Make Mom Friends & Why It Matters

  • Loneliness is not a personality flaw, it is a design problem- we are created for connection

  • Making mom friends is genuinely hard and there are real reasons why

  • Social media creates the illusion of connection while feeding isolation

  • Loneliness is underneath more of your struggles than you know

  • Your kids are learning community by watching you do it

  • The village does not happen by accident, it has to be built on purpose

The Family Framework: 7 Essential Elements to Building A Healthy Home

Most of us are trying to build a thriving home without understanding the essential elements that make it work, like constructing a house without a blueprint. After years of counseling overwhelmed families, I've identified the 7 essential elements that transform chaos into connection.

When you have a clear framework, everything changes: you become your family's emotional thermostat instead of reacting to every crisis, you understand each member's unique wiring so you can love them in ways that actually work, and you create systems that guide your family through both ordinary days and challenging seasons. The families that thrive aren't the ones with perfect kids - they're the ones who understand the blueprint.

What Makes My Approach Different?

I bring real expertise wrapped in real conversation.

With my M.A. in Professional Counseling and Tennessee LPC-MHSP license, I have the clinical background to back up what I share. But here's what your audience will love - I make it all feel like chatting with your wisest friend over coffee.

I get it because I've lived it.

As a former Navy wife who moved constantly before finally settling in Nashville, I understand the unique challenges modern moms face. I'm not speaking from an ivory tower - I'm speaking from the carpool line, the grocery store meltdown, and those 2 AM worry sessions we all know too well.

I create the kind of content your listeners save and share.

I've appeared on 15+ podcast episodes (including 10 appearances on Girl Mom Podcast with Kari Kampakis) and consistently deliver actionable insights that moms implement immediately and tell their friends about.
